Whole Wheat Coffee Cake Muffins

Welcome to my new blog. Here I plan to just simply talk about my simple country life and share a few of my trials and errors. Today I am going to start by sharing a recipe I just tried for breakfast for whole wheat coffee cake muffins (link below). I found this recipe on another blog. These muffins tasted great, but I have a few suggestions. 

First of all, the recipe says it makes 12 muffins but mine overflowed and made a mess in my oven. This could quite possibly be because I was out of yogurt so I substituted buttermilk instead. Still, I recommend you put less in the muffin cups than the recipe calls for. Here is what mine turned out looking like. 

Yes, I know, I'm not a great photographer. lol But you get the idea. 

Also, I don't like my muffins quite that sweet so I think next time I will cut back on how much sugar the recipe calls for. Overall though I would have to give this recipe 4 stars. It was easy and quite yummy! If you try it, let me know how it turns out.
